It seems to me that the high number of foreclosures and abandoned homes indicates that a lot of homeowners are becoming tenants again, driving up demand for rental housing.
Also, one look at the number of real estate sales vs. new real estate listings on the MLS goes to show you that there aren't a lot of people buying, but there's plenty of people trying to get out of their mortgages.
As long as the economy continues its stabilizing trend, the residential lease market should remain decent; it's not a bad time to be a landlord. _________________ Brian |
