Did any of you see "House of Cards" on CNBC this week? I could summarize it for you in a few words: over the past 5 years the world primarily consisted of dishonest or unethical smart people and stupid people.

One thing that I forgot to mention was the sob stories that they included in the programming. While they don't give a lot of details on each person, you can tell what's wrong with this country just based on what you see. For example, one woman said she had to skip proper burial for her father to avoid foreclosure. And it looked she had a very nice house. Why not foreclose and move into a nice 2 or 3 bedroom rental? I rent 2 bedrooms right now. Another, a factory worker making $40k/year, was living in a nicer house than my parents (my father is a doctor) with nicer things on the inside. He went into foreclosure.

I have no problem with the American dream but people need to give up their entitlement to the dream. If I work hard, then I can not only own a nice house but I can own any house I want. People bought houses they can't afford and then make a sob story out of not being able to keep it. They should be happy that they could live in those nice houses even if only for a few years. I'd like to give every one of these people a message: you need humility. I have pictures from my travels overseas which show how well, even if their current situation, they have it, even compared to Europe!

Obama keeps talking about eliminating entitlement on Wall Street. He needs to extend that policy to his voters. Don't rewrite those mortgages. Kick people who can't afford the houses out and help them buy houses that they can afford. That solution avoids moral hazard as well.
