Great discussion here, I just found this forum and really like the great ideas presented here.

I was wondering if there were any patterns for doctor migration or job placement in boston. it seems that almost 80% of rental happens in septebmer 1st each year due to students. any patterns to other professionals, especially the docs? maybe due to hospitabl budgeting cycles thus new hires arrive at a certain time?

or is that totally random?

thank you very much

resident physicians and fellows start and end July 1, but the numbers aren't large, even in Boston.

I see. thank you for the reply.

So if I bought a condo and want to rent it out in November or December, from everything I have read, it would seem like I cannot ask for market rate rent? or at least a bit lower?

Is renting out apartments in general from November to March really bad time for landlord then?
