|
|
Hi,
Does anyone know the apartment or townhouse rent cost in Framingham or Ashland? Or somewhere around 35-45 minutes driving to downtown Boston. The size should be around 1000- 1300 sqf. BTW, is there a website for this kind of stuff?
Thanks! |

Have you tried the Craigslist apartments section?

There's a big range based on quality and location. I lived in one of the Edgewaters a few years ago for about $1k/mo but it was only 550 sq ft (700 advertised). |

Is Ashland even a decent place to live? I'm not from here but thought I always heard Ashland was a not so nice place to live. I don't think the schools are that good either so if you have kids you might want to consider another town. |

Been renting in bayberry estates for a while. We're paying bit more than 1.6K for a top floor 2 bedroom, but I think new renter incentive lets you pay 1.3K for a year or so. However, the going rate seems to be a bit lower than even 1.3K for unrenovated older apartment like this - We're just too lazy to move lol.
Don't really enjoy living here, won't recommend it, but it's convenient...everything's taken care of. 1960-70s huge complex, most kitchen/baths not updated, horrible management, but an awesome maintenance crew. Complex is getting pretty empty, so parking is never a problem.
If you don't care about kids and are doing apartment (with some kind of security), I think Framingham is better than Ashland. This town is convenient. |

I looked at Bayberry a couple of years ago. They showed me a 400sq ft studio that they wanted over $1k for! The prices were bad and the building was worse. Did they finally get rid of that green junk on the balconies? I don't understand how they can maintain those rents now that Cloverfield is open. I guess they're just living off the renewals. |

Cos there are lazy people like us
Yeah Bayberry is not well maintained. Definitely moving this year, apartment has mold now.
I think Framingham is a great location for those with no kids needing better school systems. Not real sure why downtown is so dead, but this is a great town to commute from.
Balor, what's Cloverfield? We're unlikely to buy with all this gloom and doom. Need to start looking for a new place. |

It's another apartment complex down the street from Nordstrom. Very close to the Pike. I don't know who owns it but it looks nice from the outside and is pretty new. Only problem is that for a new place it doesn't have central AC - only wall units. Never saw the place just noticed it online. Personally, I'd rather live in Lexington right now, where you can get a 2br at an Avalon for ~$1700, almost the same price but not so depressing of a town. |
