I have seen a couple out there, and wondered if they were worth it. I asked a friend of mine that works for a huge bank in Boston and he said all the bank-owned properties make it to the MLS, so I was not sure if it was worth it.

I have no interest in pre-foreclosure stuff where you approach the owner personally.

Ive tried realtytrac. They have a 2 week free trial($49.99/mo). It wasnt much use as they dont give much details. The only thing they give out is the address after which it takes about i think 2 months before other details are out.
Any property in a desirable neighborhood is long gone before u ge further info.

I also tried RealtyTrac for a few months and found the information lacking. They would display the Address of the property and sometimes the name. Not worth the money.

For the Boston area, I now turn to Bankers & Tradesmen for foreclosure information. They will have the Name, Address, and sometimes the mortgage amount.
