One of the comments by the author on this blog indicates the S-P only covers conforming loans. If true, wouldn't that mean that the S-P index is understating the bubble?

I think he was referring to the OFHEO numbers when he wrote that. I believe that he is correct that OFHEO is limited to conforming loans, but that the S&P/Case-Shiller Index is not. I haven't double checked this, though.
