I have been so far pretty unsympathetic to home owners who have over extended themselves. I have waited so long to find a place that I can afford with a 30 year fixed mortgage.
However thinking of all of the animals who are surrendered to the Animal Rescue League just breaks my heart. If no suitable home is found for an animal then it is destroyed especially if it is older or not particularly cute.
I have managed to keep my four orphan kittens for 7 years (and one older cat) in a rental. I have a pretty nice landlord but there must be others. It can be done if you look hard enough for a rental that is pet friendly. |
