Why Only Some Housing Markets Are Improving
How can a country whose home ownership rate is the lowest in 11 years have a housing market that is described as "healthy"? Media reports are so one sided! I say the market is sick if the prices are going up but affordability and risk are going down. What if we took this article and replace every instance of house with "wheat"? Then the article would read something like "The wheat market is finally recovering as the price has soared over 300% over the past year" (on an unrelated note: people are starving, causing them to do whatever it takes to buy wheat, driving the price up to historic levels). |
