Renting in Mass - I wish the downpayment requirement is 20% too, esp. after the crisis. You would have thought people learn from mistakes. In Hong Kong, after the big housing bubble, the downpayment requirement is raised to 30%. It still is.
I don't think I can predict precise short term price movement, and I don't believe anyone can. What I do, however, is to try to understand whether certain scenario is likely or not. I don't think a short term big drop, or big raise, is likely for Boston in the near term. Price likely will remain sluggish, sales will dry up if rate raise, and it will remain hard, if not increasingly hard, to find good house in reasonable price on market. |
