I like that you have a nice wide price range search field.
What are your thoughts about the corresponding quality of house relative to the prices along the range?
Do you know what I think? I think that this market needs to collectively decide what this season's house price drop is going to be. Think about it, how many houses have "Contingent on sale of home, blah, blah" If person A wants to sell their house and buy person B's house he or she needs to make sure that if they (person A) takes a beating on the sale of their house, that person B takes the same degree of beating on theirs.
You would never see this much with respect to price changes in 2004, 2005 or even 2006 for that matter. You'd have to ask an (HONEST) relator to find out what the collective percentage off of asking is for today's market. What percentage are some of you gathering it is? |

I sold my house in February. Thank god I was able to unload it. While waiting to sell the house we heard the same chorus, we love the house but we need to sell our house first. I am surprised the NAR does not go out and use their marketing dollars to buy a few house and set off an endless chain of sales and purchases. Oh if it was that simple.
Less qualified buyers + more inventory= Bad news for anyone selling. |

Renting for much less than it would cost to buy in the town I chose.
SO my down payment is collecting interest and home prices are sinking.
It would be easier to buy and not worry about moving again, but $40 to $100 K is a big carrot, which is what I expect to save by waiting. |
