Just found a Chelsea house for $199,000 in the MLS listings. What a bargain! I can't imagine my kids going out and playing next to the expressway under the shadow of the Tobin Bridge. The backyard is bordered by the steel giirders of the bridge. the Thought of raising my family there seemed so awful to me that I just had to share it. Shocked

Don't do it! The market probably will not be lower than 20-30%, since Boston's rent is not cheap. However, you will save at least 10-15% in 2008-2009.
