So renters and their children are the new serfs or sharecroppers for the property owners in expensive cities and the only hope for a home is to inherit or move to somewhere much less expensive like Nebraska.

What about living in a condominium? It's much cheaper than living in a house.

Condominiums are genereally less expensive. But in Boston neighborhoods,
Cambridge, and Brookline, they're very expensive. Maybe the higher interest
rates will temper demand and prices.

Look at the up side of higher interest rates. It will slow the buying frenzy, and
temper the price spike. Prices may drop a little. Then when interest rates
drop (they will), you'll refinance with a 15 yr low rate.
