Let's see...we are in trouble because we spend more than we make.

The proposed solution to stopping the downward spiral is to get consumers to consume....spend more.

eh?

And I thought Harvard was for smart people!

In all fairness he did end by saying that the people (consumers) should indeed take care of themselves first.

I also like were the last caller was headed. She wanted to know how come the feds weren't helping to payoff credit card debt! Hell yes. If we are going to bail out joe speculator on housing the by golly I'd like to have my credit cards pay'd off! Or better yet...the car in the drive way is killing me on payments every month...please uncle sammy won't you just bail me out!

Am I the only one that is really, and I mean really starting to loose faith in our country? Bailing out banks, home owners, using oil like there's know tomorrow....I don't know about others but I'm giving real thought to purchasing my next home in Costa Rica. I love America, but the rat race is tiresome...and I got a feeling the rat race for most Americans is just about to really toughen up.
