If you plot prices for the last three and a half years on one long axis you see the start of a Head and Shoulders formation. I know this suggests a breakout against the trend in stocks and the like. Does this hold true for housing too?

What's the psychological explanation for why it would signal a break out for stocks? Once that is answered, the question would be whether the same psychology would be applicable to housing and also whether the enormous difference in liquidity between the two would neutralize it.
